Our Board
Suzy Halterman
Although not a dancer herself, Suzy has been connected to the performing arts community for most of her life. She began playing violin at age eight and continued through college, participating in a variety of performing arts experiences that shaped her appreciation for the arts. She values the way performing arts help youth build confidence, creativity, self-expression, and a sense of belonging.
Suzy holds a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and understands the important role supportive activities, mentorship, and creative outlets play in helping children and teens grow. As a mom of four, she is passionate about supporting organizations that create meaningful opportunities for youth in the community. Her child’s involvement in dance inspired her to become more involved with Pagosa Springs Dance Academy and its mission of helping young performers learn, grow, and thrive. As Board President, Suzy supports the long-term growth and sustainability of PSDA through community partnerships, fundraising, and organizational development
