Our Story

Since 2016, Pagosa Springs Dance Academy (PSDA) has been a fixture of our community. We started with just 40 students in a 400-square-foot space—and watching our dance family grow into what it is today is truly a dream come true. We cannot thank you enough for bringing PSDA to life.

In 2022, we expanded our horizons by transitioning into a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization: Expressions School of the Arts, under which PSDA now proudly operates.

Why a Nonprofit?

We have always prioritized people over profits. Operating as a nonprofit allows us to better serve our community by:

• Expanding scholarship programs to keep dance affordable and accessible.

• Securing grants and donor funding to offer premier instruction in dance and visual arts.

• Building a sustainable future that provides long-term creative opportunities for Archuleta County.

The core values of PSDA will always live on. We remain a safe, empowering, and inclusive space for young artists to thrive.

At Expressions School of the Arts, Inc., we are committed to inspiring creativity, building confidence, and fostering a lifelong appreciation for the performing arts in the rural community of Archuleta County, Colorado.

Through exceptional, accessible dance instruction, we empower students with the skills and discipline to excel while embracing the joy of movement. By partnering with local schools and organizations, we aim to enrich our community, enhance access to arts education, and inspire future generations of artists.
